Calling Top D.C. Restaurants & Chefs
Travel Channel and Global Explorers invite D.C. Metro’s top restaurants and chefs to participate in the Global Explorers Compass program’s inaugural fundraising event: A Night with Travel Channel, featuring network hosts Andrew Zimmern and Dhani Jones. The gala on May 6th at the National Museum of Women in the Arts will include 500 of Washington D.C.’s travel, food and culture enthusiasts.
Participating restaurant benefits include:
- a :30 second promotional video to be featured on TravelChannel.com. The promotional piece will be shot by a trained travel journalist within 12 months of the event.
- promotional positioning on TravelChannel.com and the Global Explorers website.
- additional promotional information on press releases and marketing materials related to the event.
- coveted visibility with an affluent local demographic.
All proceeds from the event will benefit the Global Explorers Compass program, which provides scholarships for low-income
D.C.-area students to participate in life-changing educational, service-oriented travel adventures. This year’s scholarships
will support a Compass team of 20 students from Kipp D.C.: AIM Academy in their preparation and travel to Costa Rica.
A maximum of 15 chefs will be able to participate in this exclusive event. As the event is a fundraiser, we ask that participating chefs donate both food and time to support this very worthy cause.
If you would like to support this worthy program and participate in this high-profile opportunity, please reply by 5 PM on
Monday, April 12th.
