Leading the Way: Girl Scouts

In partnership with the Girl Scouts of the USA, this unique Leading the Way expedition will combine Girl Scouts of ALL abilities for river rafting and canyon exploration in the Southwestern US.

This unique 2-part destination is sure to be a life-changing experience! Offered as a part of GSUSA's Include All Girls initiative, this event is fully accessible to girls of all abilities and includes a weekend retreat in Colorado as well as a 10-day Field Workshop Expedition during the summer. In partnership with the Girl Scouts of the USA (GSUSA) and their Include all Girls Initiative, this Global Explorers Leading the Way Destination will integrate girls of all abilities in this journey of self-discovery and adventure. Through Digital Arts training from the Pearson Foundation prior to travel; hands-on science, meaningful service, and leadership development during travel; and a social awareness and media campaign post-travel, this destination will inspire change while obliterating barriers placed between those with and without disabilities. Applicants should be active Girl Scout members. If you are not currently a member, you must register with your local Girl Scout council. The annual fee is $12.

Who: Active Girl Scout members ages 14-18 and girls with disabilities up to age 21 if currently enrolled in high school
