Leading the Way: Rim to River
The Leading the Way Rim to River Expedition will spend a week on the South Rim of the Grand Canyon engaging in meaningful service and cultural immersion then spend a week participating in a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity: rafting the majestic Colorado River. This Global Explorers program is offered in cooperation and partnership with Grand Canyon Youth and Grand Canyon National Park. Program full for 2010.

Experiencing the wonders of the Grand Canyon is an unbelievable opportunity many wait a lifetime to enjoy. The magnificent Canyon is considered one of the 7 Natural Wonders of the World and is the perfect setting to explore science, culture, leadership and service. In partnership with the nonprofit Grand Canyon Youth and Grand Canyon National Park, this expedition begins on the South Rim of the Grand Canyon where students spend July 8-12 engaging in service and exploring the vast culture of the area. July 13-20 will be spent on the upper-half of the world-renowned Colorado River where participants will raft the exhilarating whitewater, float through calm stretches and journey by foot through slot canyons only accessible from the river.
