Megan Nelson Roots & Shoots International Program Advisor
Megan has more than 15 years of environmental education experience in regional, national, and international settings. Currently, Megan is the International Program Advisor of the Jane Goodall Research Institute’s Roots & Shoots Program. She provides strategic planning support of Roots & Shoots groups internationally, with an emphasis in Africa. She also strengthens ties between Roots & Shoots youth in the USA and Africa.
Megan has an incredible background in environmental organizations having worked with such organizations as the Cincinnati Zoo and Botanical Garden, the Newfound Harbor Marine Institute, The Catamount Institute and the Teton Science School. Megan has an M.S. in Ecology/Entomology from Brigham Young University and a B.S. in Zoology and Biology Secondary Education.
