Meet Our Board
Andrea Delorey Social Science Coordinator, Poudre School District
Andrea is passionate about exploration, mountains, civic participation, and her family. Before putting down roots in Fort Collins, Colorado, she called at least a dozen different cities “home,” and continues to thrive on new experiences and learning.
With over 15 years of experience as an educator, Andrea currently holds the position of social studies coordinator for the Poudre School District in Fort Collins. Before moving into this role, she taught in international schools in Venezuela, Chile, and Ecuador, as well as in the New York City public school system. Andrea earned her Master’s Degree in Education from Teachers College Columbia University.
Throughout her own education and career, Andrea has valued the benefits of international experiences. She has traveled extensively and led both student and teacher trips to international destinations.
Early in her career, Andrea did non-profit public policy work for People for the American Way in Washington, D.C. She also worked as a supervisor for the AmeriCorps pilot program, Summer of Service, and as a manager for Marriott. Andrea holds a B.A. in Psychology and English from Valparaiso University.
