Stan Rullman
Stan is a Ph.D. Wildlife Science student in
the Urban Ecology Program at the University of Washington in Seattle.
His research focuses on the effects of urbanization on productivity,
survivorship, dietary selection, and dispersal on hawks and owls
along an urban-to-wildland gradient in the Puget Sound Ecoregion.
Prior to starting his Ph.D., Stan worked
as Research Naturalist for IslandWood (formerly the Puget Sound
Environmental Learning Center). There, he instructed graduate ecology
programs, developed and coordinated on-site research projects, assisted
in long-term program and curriculum development and lead natural
history field trips. Stan also served for eleven years as the Conservation
Coordinator and Naturalist for the Cincinnati Zoo and Botanical
Garden and as an adjunct instructor for the University of Cincinnati.
Stan is also a semi-professional photographer and graphic design
specialist. He holds a B.A. in Zoology from Miami University.
