Hello, My name is Rob. I am 16 years old and I attend Fort Myers High in Florida! I am really excited to be part of the 2007 Leading the Way team because I will be able to meet new people, visit a different country on another continent, learn about the poor in another country, help the natives through community service and learn how to work as a team. I live in Cape Coral Florida but I was born in Western New York and I moved to Florida August of 2006. I am visually impaired; I use Braille, the computer and read audio books. I enjoy the computer, video games, swimming, fishing, camping and experiencing new climates.
When I heard about this trip and meeting Erik Weihenmayer I never had a doubt about the trip! This is an opportunity of a lifetime and especially because I am going to meet the guy who climbed mountains and reached his summit: making blindness a part of you instead of a curse!
