IB Fellowship Award Program
The 2012 Global Explorers (GEx) IB Fellowship Award Program seeks 15 IB educators to participate in a pilot project designed to connect educational travel and the development of responsible global citizens who are active, compassionate, life-long learners who appreciate and embrace cultural differences.
Fifteen educators from the IB Middle Years or Diploma Program will travel with groups of 15-20 students from their respective schools in 2012 to any GEx destination. Participants will engage in preparatory curriculum, a 1-2 week immersion travel experience and follow-up leadership initiatives that incorporate diverse elements of the current IB Middle Years and Diploma Program curriculum model. Research, conducted by Texas A&M University, will provide independent results to inform the development of the program. Participating educators will help develop best practices and principles for future IB expeditions. Download the full description
