As a Colorado native Lindy thoroughly enjoys playing outside as much as possible and enjoying that time with her friends. She averages about 50 days of snowboarding a year, and when the snow isn’t falling she can be found rafting the Poudre River or backpacking near Pingree Park. Lindy grew up in a small mountain town just west of Denver in Conifer, Colorado. Surrounded by the mountains and meadows of her hometown she was a typical tomboy, always coming home with snakes and butterflies. She still has that passion for the outdoors today and is now a senior Environmental Communications major at Colorado State University. She is striving to become an outdoor educator and role model for students of all ages.
Lindy’s first significant travel experience happened when she was in high school when she went on a backpacking ecology trip to Alaska. She has been back several times since and each trip makes her realize that by being in mentally and physically challenging experiences you can grow internally and make new discoveries about yourself. The time she has spent in the backcountry of Alaska has changed her for the better, and she hopes that she can help others have similar positive experiences in the outdoors.
