Responsible Tourism

Global Explorers and our participants practice active and responsible tourism. We value the diverse cultures and ecosystems that we are privileged to visit and select in-country partners that have a strong commitment to conservation and sustainable development. In addition, we make valuable contributions to the ecological, cultural and economic sustainability of the region via grants, service projects and cross-cultural exchange activities with our participants. Global Explorers also offsets all carbon emissions caused by our air travel -- one more way that we are trying to reduce our footprint.

At Global Explorers, we truly believe in living our values of sustainability in our home office as well. We have cork floors, low VOC paint, recyclable carpet squares, Forest Stewardship Council certified desks and energy efficient lighting. Our employees volunteer with local nonprofit organizations both individually and as a staff in order to give back to our wonderful home community of Fort Collins.

This sustainability philosophy is a part of who we are. Naturally, we hope it will become a part of you as well!
