Money Matters
Making Travel Affordable
The thought of paying for an extended travel program can be a little overwhelming, but there are lots of ways to make the program affordable with a little hard work and commitment. As a nonprofit organization, we constantly strive to balance our goal of providing the most comprehensive educational experience possible with an affordable price. It is our mission to make our program available to students of all backgrounds. Our staff, board and volunteers invest a lot of energy, hours and money creating resources that help you raise funds for your life-changing travel experience. We have worked with schools large and small, rural and urban, public and private. With a modest amount of effort, you can expect your group to raise roughly 30% of the costs of travel through the tools that we provide. You can afford the trip of a lifetime!

Scholarship Programs
Through strategic partnerships, Global Explorers is able to offer a few programs annually that provide travel to a limited number of students who might not otherwise have the funds to travel. Check out these opportunities below:
Learning Afar The Learning Afar program is the pilot program of the AFAR Foundation who annually sponsors groups from low-income schools to travel on Global Explorers programs. Each year, target cities are selected and from those cities, we select a school to travel to one of our unique destinations.
